This part of the website is dedicated to the Country legends and hit makers that make KLMJ's "Country Gold" program a success.  It is great to hear from listeners each week when they call in requests for those classic country hits.  I have always felt these artists and groups have made country music what it is today and should be respected for all their hard work.  Over the years, I have enjoyed meeting and in some cases, getting to know many of the artists who can be viewed in the "Country Memories" section of the Gallery. I especially treasure the rare photos with those no longer with us but their music and memories will not be forgotten.

It was a thrill when I finally met and interviewed one of my favorite all time female country singers, Lynn Anderson.  Country Music has truly lost a legend and a special lady.

Everyone remembers the classic country hit "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" and it was my pleasure to interview Charley Pride.

Anyone who knows me can tell you that Barbara Mandrell is number one in my book too.  I treasure this picture that was taken at one of her fan club parties during Fan Fair in Nashville years ago.

Fontanel is the former home of legend Barbara Mandrell.  This is a beautiful home and take it from me, a place every Mandrell fan should see. Here's some highlights of Fontanel including Barbara's bed.  Too bad we didn't have a box of crackers.
